Who is responsible for your information?

I am Claire, operating Pilates and Wellness (PAW). I am responsible for the information I use to respond to enquiries and manage my mailing list and class administration. Enquiries and class information

If you telephone, email or message me on Facebook, I use the contact details and information you provide to answer your question and arrange any requested services. Please share only what is needed; avoid sending detailed medical information through ordinary email or social media.

Where you ask about booking a service, I use your information to take steps at your request before entering a contract. For other enquiries, my legitimate interest is responding to people who contact the business.

Classes are booked through Gymcatch. Gymcatch handles its account, booking and payment functions under its own policies. Information made available to me as your class provider is used to administer your booking and fulfil the service. Any additional health or screening information needed for classes will require appropriate information about its purpose and handling when requested; this website has no health questionnaire.

Newsletter signup

The newsletter form collects your email address, optional first and last name, and your email-marketing permission. I use this information with your consent to send Pilates and Wellness newsletters through Mailchimp. The form sends your details directly to Mailchimp for processing and storage in my mailing list.

You can withdraw consent at any time using the unsubscribe link in a newsletter or by contacting me. Mailchimp may process delivery information and email interactions, such as opens or link clicks, depending on campaign settings. Its processing is explained in Mailchimp's privacy information.

Website use and third-party services

Cloudflare Web Analytics is used to produce aggregate counts of website visits and page views for each page so I can understand and improve the website. It does not use cookies, local storage or visitor fingerprinting, and it does not provide me with individual visitor histories. See Cloudflare's privacy information.

Optional Statcounter visitor analytics loads only after you accept analytics cookies. I use it to understand visits and improve the website. Statcounter may collect your IP address, page visits, visit times, browser, operating system and device information, and use cookies to distinguish visits. Consent is the basis for this optional analytics. Choose Decline analytics to browse without it, or use Cookie settings in any footer to change your choice. Your choice is stored in this browser for up to 180 days. Withdrawing consent stops future collection; it does not undo information already sent. You can remove remaining third-party cookies in your browser settings. See Statcounter privacy information and its cookie information. Search queries, filter choices, checklist choices, journal entries and daily-pause answers are handled in your browser and are not submitted to PAW. This website does not use local storage to save them.

The site is hosted on Microsoft Azure. Hosting and network providers may process technical information such as your IP address, requested pages and diagnostic records to deliver and protect the website. The site loads Google Fonts, which involves requests to Google when pages load.

YouTube video and OpenStreetMap map content load when you choose the relevant control. Those providers then receive technical information needed to deliver their content and may use cookies or similar technologies under their own policies. Browser settings can control cookies, although this may affect third-party features.

Following Facebook, Gymcatch, directions or retailer links takes you to third-party services with their own privacy practices. PAW does not run retailer checkout or collect card details on this site.

Sharing and international processing

Information is shared with service providers as needed for enquiries, hosting, newsletters and class bookings, and where required by law. I do not sell your personal information. Providers may process data outside the UK. Mailchimp describes its international-transfer safeguards in its European data transfer guidance. Other providers explain their processing in their own privacy information.

How long information is kept

Enquiry and booking information is kept for as long as needed to deal with the enquiry, deliver services and meet relevant record-keeping obligations or resolve disputes. The period depends on the purpose and any applicable legal requirement.

Newsletter information is kept while you remain subscribed. After unsubscribe, a limited record of your preference may be kept to help ensure you are not emailed again. You can contact me to ask about retention or deletion of your information. Service providers also apply their own retention practices.

Your choices and rights

Depending on the circumstances, you can request access to or correction of your information, deletion, restriction, a portable copy, or object to certain processing. You can withdraw newsletter consent without affecting the lawfulness of earlier processing. Contact me using the details above; I may need to confirm your identity before responding.

You can also raise a concern with the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO). Please contact me if you would like help resolving a concern.

Updates

I will update this policy when website services or information handling change. Where appropriate, I will bring material changes to your attention. The date above identifies this version.
